The float is one of the most important — and most overlooked — parts of your mist maker. It holds the transducer at the exact water depth needed for the water sensor to activate and for the discs to make maximum mist. If your unit has stopped working or output is weak, a misassembled or damaged float is often the first thing to check.

• Mist maker will not turn on even though it is sitting in water (the float may be holding the transducer too high)

• Float cracked, broken, or lost after a drop during maintenance

• Inner ring will not stay seated in the outer shell

💡 Float Assembly Tip

The float is two pieces — an inner donut ring and an outer shell. They must be firmly pressed together with the tabs aligned. If the inner ring sits too low, the transducer rides too high out of the water and the unit will not activate. Flip the assembled float over and press firmly until fully seated before placing it in your reservoir.
